1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TradeLedger (the "Service"), accessible at tradeledger-journal.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
TradeLedger is an AI-powered trading journal and post-market analysis tool. We provide software to log, analyze, and review trading activity. We do not provide investment, financial, or tax advice. Information shown in the Service is for personal record-keeping and educational purposes only.
3. Not Financial Advice
Nothing in TradeLedger constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Insights generated by the AI Copilot are educational suggestions based on patterns in your own data. You alone are responsible for your trading decisions and their outcomes. Past performance does not indicate future results.
4. Account Registration
To use TradeLedger you must create an account with a valid email. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. You must be 18 years or older and legally able to enter contracts in your jurisdiction.
5. Subscription Plans & Billing
TradeLedger offers paid subscription plans (Standard and AI Pro). Pricing and features are described on our pricing page. Billing is processed by Stripe. You authorize us to charge the payment method on file at each renewal until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Plan; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Free trial: first-time customers receive a 7-day free trial. If a payment method is on file and the trial is not cancelled, the subscription converts to paid automatically at the end of the trial.
6. Refund Policy
Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact
[email protected] within 14 days of the charge.
7. User Content & Data Ownership
You retain ownership of all trade data, notes, strategies, and content you upload to TradeLedger ("User Content"). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your User Content solely to provide the Service. We do not sell your User Content to third parties.
8. AI Features
The AI Copilot uses Anthropic's Claude API to process your trade context. Your User Content may be transmitted to Anthropic for inference. We do not use your data to train models. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their privacy policy.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any illegal purpose; (b) attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service; (c) share account access with third parties; (d) upload malicious content or attempt to compromise other users' data; (e) resell or redistribute the Service.
10. Service Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (Supabase, Stripe, Anthropic), and unforeseen incidents may cause temporary unavailability.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TradeLedger and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including trading losses, lost profits, or data loss. Our total liability is capped at the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon termination, your User Content may be deleted after a 30-day grace period.
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes will be resolved in arbitration, except for small-claims matters or injunctive relief.
